Privat ... the novelty made in Italy by Big Mama, we want to remember that this kayak is the bet of an Italian brand that wanted to bring the production of this canoe to Italy.
Entirely designed in Italy by a young designer, who has made style his "lifestyle".
With this kayak Big Mama wanted to express aesthetic beauty everywhere, from any angle you look at it, this canoe expresses sinuosity, a streamlined line, an accentuated bow, a decidedly V-shaped keel.
With the Privat nothing was left to chance, the aesthetic beauty is combined with a speed and stability performance that is out of the ordinary for a 295 cm kayak (Big Mama wanted to stay under 300 cm, specifically to fit into the transportability segment facilitated).
The Privat offers innovative technical solutions such as the placement of the lateral handles already shaped inside the hull, in this way the lateral aesthetic line has not been affected, they cannot be broken or lost, furthermore the Privat proves to be perfectly balanced (the you can carry it yourself, simply taking it from the side handle).
The two lockers are raised like a "mushroom", so the passing water does not oppose pressure, this guarantees maximum waterproofness inside the hull.
Big Mama wanted to place the rear locker "within reach" so that even during navigation it is possible to extract and store objects, furthermore the line channels facilitate water drainage.
The large internal volume of the lockers has brought the load capacity to 150 kg (with weight distributed over the entire surface)
Comfort? ... the rear cargo straps allow the attachment of a backpack to the kayak, the Privat, in addition to the two side handles, features the two classic bow and stern handles.
The right side paddle holder is standard.
Quality in every detail... in the Privat, Big Mama wanted to take care of the detail, each screw is made of stainless steel, (not galvanized) therefore resistant to rust and deterioration, just as the fixing rings are all made of stainless steel, the brass bushings are of increased thickness (each bushing supports a weight of 70 kg) Privat has 12 of them.
For Fishermen? ... The Privat also exists in a Fishing version with 2 internal rod holders and the possibility of mounting two adjustable ones, as well as the possibility of mounting the support for the depth sounder and technical table.
Test in Water... Thanks to its width/length ratio, the Privat offers a sense of horizontal stability, but at the same time thanks to the very accentuated bow, a V-shaped keel marked by the two water outflow grooves, make it very fast in navigation .
Easy to turn and drive, the Privat is very tall in the 300 cm segment.
