The FA-07 is the first fencing device equipped with this connection, which allows 2 very useful functions: 1) Network connection for easy management of a competition (see chapter 6 of the pdf document "FA-07 User Manual"); 2) Software update via PC , which avoids the need to receive and insert components to update the device to changes in the regulation.
• Two RS422 ports for sending all FA-07 data to external collection, visualization, video-arbitration and TV overlay systems. Three "Serial Data" ports for communication with other FA-07s and other Favero Electronic Design equipment. All 5 ports are opto-isolated to prevent dangerous voltages from reaching the fencers through the device.
• Also works as a REPEATER . Multiple FA-07s can be connected in cascade: the first functioning as a track device and the subsequent ones as repeaters. For the connections, common 4-wire telephone cables are used, easy to make or find, with a length of up to 100m; the ones supplied are 15m and 2.5m. On an FA-07 repeater it is possible to reverse the signals so that by placing two FA-07s back to back, you get a 360° view with all the information and lights on the same side.
